Emma Watson

Emma “Pumpkin” Louise Watson, 76, of Moberly, MO passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at her home. Pumpkin was born on March 16, 1944 in Triplett, MO to Bernerdean Watts and Ilean (Benson) Watts. She moved to Brookfield, MO and accepted a position as a social service worker for the State of Missouri where she worked for a number of years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brookfield. Emma married Oscar Watson on September, 3, 1993 in Moberly, MO. She loved visiting with family and friends. She enjoyed fishing and watching westerns on TV. Emma was also quite fond of playing cards and listening to music. Her family and friends will always remember what a great cook and how kind hearted she was. She never met a stranger. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend. Family meant everything to her. Emma always kept in touch with everyone, whether near or far. She frequently put other’s need above her own. Emma always kept God in her heart. She lived her life as she wanted to, enjoying it as much as possible. She had so many good qualities and will be greatly missed. Emma is preceded in death by her father and mother, Bernerdean and Ilean Watts; sister, Wanda J. White; and husband, Oscar Watson. Survivors include her daughter, Sharolett (James) Watson of Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Michele R. Watts and Andrae S. Watts both of Moberly, MO; great grandchildren, DeAndrae Damron Watts and Shante D. Watts both of Moberly, MO, Zaria Watts and Yasimine Watts both of Fulton, MO, Michela Cedllo of Columbia, MO and Tremaine Watts of Fulton, MO; great-great grandson, Phelix A. Watts of Moberly, MO; brother, Leroy Stanley Watts of Moberly, MO; extended family and close friends. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Emma Watson’s life will be held Friday, September 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Shelter #1 in Rothwell Park, in Moberly, MO Condolences may be shared online at www.pathwaymemorial.com.
