Etsuko Perkins, 86, of Moberly passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at her home. Etsuko was born in Osaka, Japan on September 10, 1929 to Takamichi and Rino (Yamada) Suganami. At the age of 32, in 1961 she moved to the United States with her husband. During her working career she worked for what was first McGraw Edison and later Toastmaster until it closed in 1987, where she worked on the assembly line. She was a lover of music, an avid walker, and loved animals, especially her cats. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Julane Etsuko Perkins and Jason William Koenig. Survivors include her son, Kazuaki Perkins and wife Judy of Kansas City, KS; daughters: Shirley Skinner of Moberly, MO, and Mary Ellen Johnson and husband Robert of Dixon, MO; grandchildren: Bill Waibel, Joanna McBride, Jenny King, Crystal Wright and husband Nick of Moberly, Mo, Amanda Skinner of St. Louis, MO, and Jeff Perkins of Virginia, IL; as well as many great-grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March, 4, 2016 at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly from 4:00 p.m. until Memorial Service time at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Cremation has been accorded by Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly.
