Evelyn Westfall

Evelyn Westfall, 86, of Higbee passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. Evelyn, one of thirteen was born to George and Alma (Robb) Orton in Randolph County on November 5, 1927. She married the late Robert Louis Westfall in 1946 and was married 67 years when he passed away. Evelyn was a loving mother, a kind hearted and strong woman. She had a love for books and enjoyed reading as well as sewing, canning, and quilting. Within the past two years she had made over 50 quilts. She was preceded by her husband, Robert; son, Robert Westfall Jr.; daughter, Karen Sue Clark; grandson, Chris Dougherty; 5 sisters and 6 brothers. Evelyn is survived by her dedicated and loving children: Bill Westfall and wife Audrey of Huntsville; daughters: Kay Stephens of New Franklin, Peggy Dougherty and husband Daniel of Higbee, Fran Dougherty and Sheila Rusher of Huntsville; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great- great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 from 5:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Higbee. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Eichenberger officiating. Burial will follow at the Higbee City Cemetery. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Higbee Senior Center.
