Forrest William Wright Jr.

Forrest William Wright Jr., age 68, of Higbee, Missouri passed away Monday March 14, 2022, at his home. Forrest was born May 15, 1953, in Higbee to the late Ola Mae and late Forrest Wright Sr.

Forrest served his country honorably for eight years in the United States Army. After serving in the Army, Forrest worked at the Moberly Correctional Center from 1979 until 2010. Forrest was an active member of his community. He served as President of the Higbee Cemetery Association, was a lifetime member of the VFW, and served on the Higbee City Counsel for many years. Forrest enjoyed putting flags out at the cemetery, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.

Forrest was preceded in death by his parents Ola Mae and Forrest Wright Sr. and his sister Lottie Wilson.

Forrest is survived by his wife Micki Wright of Higbee, daughters; Jessica Lea (Jeremiah), Heather Wright, Amanda Kirtlink, and Macy Wright (Devan Slavings) all Higbee, one sister; Becky Wright of Moberly, seven grandchildren; Kenlee, Khaleesi, Kason, Georgia, Gemma, Tinsley, and Jaxton, as well as several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

A visitation to celebrate Forrest’s life will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO.  Interment will follow at Higbee City Cemetery in Higbee, Missouri.
