Frances Robinson Chambers

Frances L. Chambers, age 85 of Columbia, Mo went home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2019. She had been a resident of Columbia Manor. Frances was born July 2, 1933 in Moberly, MO to William Robinson and Margret Graves Robinson. She met and married Gene Chambers in Moberly, MO and in 1968 she moved to Memphis, TN and accepted a position as a housekeeper. Frances was a member of the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church and was Sunday School class secretary. She was a friendly, fun, feisty person with a “passion for fashion”. Frances was always willing to help those that were less fortunate. Her family and friends will miss her kind heart and infectious smile. Frances is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roddy Robinson, Beau Robinson, Leon Robinson and William Robinson; sisters, Maydrew Robinson, Mary Kathryn Robinson and her beloved husband, Gene Chambers. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and her Progressive Missionary Baptist Church family in Memphis, TN. A memorial service celebrating Frances’s life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. A private inurnment will follow at a later date. Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2019 at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
