Francis Fay Cox, 83, of Moberly, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Francis was born in Presho, South Dakota on April 8, 1931 to James Waller and Alice North Waller. She married Merle Cox on December 30, 1947 in Winner South Dakota and the family moved to Missouri in 1977. Francis was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was an avid reader. She also enjoyed bingo, knitting and crocheting, especially afghans for family members.
Francis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Bonnie Mackey, grandson Steve Mackey, granddaughter, Debra Williams, sister Ruby Houseman and brother Howard Waller.
She is survived by her children: Mary Buxcel (Marvin) of Pierre, SD, Donna Gardner (Rick) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Delores Nesheim (Brian) of Ethan, SD, Rose Adams (John) of Madison, MO, Merle Cox (Fiancee, Ruth), of Oak Grove, MO and James Cox of Oak Grove, MO; brothers Roy Waller of Presho, SD and Eddy Joe Waller (Rosemary) of Kansas City, MO; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A sharing of memories and prayer service will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly, followed by private burial at a later date. Memorial visitation will be from 11:00 until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
