Francis “Frank” Joseph Orscheln, 80, of Columbia, MO, formerly of Hermitage, TN passed away February 6, 2016, in Columbia, MO.
He was born September 27, 1935, in Columbia, MO and was the youngest of six children of Edward and Rose Wesselmann Orscheln. Frank grew up in Columbia, MO and Quincy, IL where he graduated from Quincy’s Notre Dame High School. He met Ann Powers while attending St. Louis University and married her on August 24, 1957 in Kansas City, MO.
Frank and Ann raised their four children and he worked for the family’s freight business in Boonville, MO and Moberly, MO before moving to Nashville, TN where he worked as a financial advisor. Frank was a 34 year member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Donelson, TN where he was in the choir. He also sang several seasons with the Nashville Symphony Chorus. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4972 in Nashville, TN. He was also a member of Rotary International and an avid reader, card player and golfer.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Harold W. Orscheln and a sister, Geraldine “Jerry” Vitt.
Survivors include his wife Ann, children, Steven L. (Ann Marie) Orscheln, of Richardson, TX, Karen (Ray) Guynn of Columbia, MO., Tom (Cindy) Orscheln of Edwardsville, IL, Wayne (Jenifer) Orscheln of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Stefani Orscheln, Ryan Orscheln, Krysta Orscheln, Alex (Casey) Guynn, Kathryn (Drew) Jameson, Adam Orscheln, Jordan Orscheln, Jessica Orscheln; great-grandchild, Mason Orscheln; sister, Anna Margaret Luth of Columbia, IL; brothers, Gene (Norma) Orscheln of Southhaven, MS, Elmer (Peggy) Orscheln of Moberly, MO; sisters-in-law, Lucille Orscheln of Hannibal, MO and Mimi Powers of Kansas City, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Moberly, MO with committal prayers and burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Moberly. Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at the visitation which will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow.
