Fred H. Gravitt

Fred H. Gravitt, 81, of Moberly passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. He was born August 9, 1935 in Randolph County, Missouri to Hershell “Bus” and Mildred “Tuty” (White) Gravitt. Fred married Lyda Linn on April 18, 1957 and were married 44 years before she preceded him in death. During his career he worked for Mid-Am in Moberly for 35 years as a Forklift Operator. Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and talking. Survivors include his daughters: Eugenia Gravitt of Huntsville, Missouri and Sharon Norton of Danielson, Connecticut; brothers: Charles Gravitt of Palmyra, Missouri, Donald Gravitt of Moberly, Missouri, and Melvin “Boodle” Gravitt of Moberly, Missouri; grandchildren: Angela Filipone, Sherry Zea, Jeremy Norton, and Ashley Dawn Gravitt; great-grandchildren: Layla Zea, Ismail Zea, and Wyatt Filipone. In addition to his loving wife, he was preceded in death by his sons: Herschel Gravitt, Dennis Gravitt, and Bobby Gravitt; and step-son, Delbert Hudson. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly.
