Gary Lee Dailey, long time resident of Moberly, Missouri, died at his home at 6:36 p.m., March 3, 2020. He was a long time over the road truck driver, driving for Orscheln's, Summer's and Kwick Cold. He had recently been a patient at the VA hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Gary had been in failing health for several months. He was born April 29, 1940, in Moberly, Missouri, the son of Guy Tucker Dailey Sr. and Opal (Eravi) Dailey. He graduated from Renick High School in 1958, and served honorably in the U.S Navy where he spent a lot of time on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt aircraft carrier. Survivors include his wife Patricia (Pearson) Dailey of the home, whom he married on December 15, 1973; sons: Joey L. (Lisa) Finnell of Moberly, Missouri, and Troy L. (Pamela) Dailey of Terrell, Texas; sister, Phillis Dunwoody of Moberly, Missouri; brother, Raymond (Janet) Dailey of Higbee, Missouri; sister, Sally (Mike Lewis) Dailey of Moberly, Missouri; brother, Guy T. "Tuck" (Janice) Dailey, Jr. of Moberly, Missouri; grandchildren: Lauren (Justin), Hannah, Maddi, Tyler, and Harper; as well as several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, Missouri, under the direction of Million Taylor Funeral Homes.
