George William Davies

George W. Davies, age 85, of Moberly, MO went to Heaven to be with Jesus, February 27, 2023, at Boone Hospital, Columbia, MO. George was born July 8, 1937, Decatur, Illinois, to Anna (Kadletz) and William Davies.

George graduated from Westran High School, from Rhema University in 1982. George was employed with the Wabash Railroad where he worked for more than 15 years. George honorably served his country in United States Air Force. George was also a member of the New Beginnings Church.

George enjoyed yard work, playing catch with the grandkids, MU Tigers basketball, fishing, camping, milkshakes, sharing about Jesus and reading his bible. His family and friends will always remember him as a caring, kind, giving and loving person who loved Jesus.

He is preceded in death by his father; mother; wife, Mary; sisters, Francis, Mary, Elizabeth, Sara and brother, Adolph.

George is survived by his two sons, Robbie Davies and Michael Davies, both of Moberly, MO; daughter, Michelle Bales, Union, MO; several grandchildren, Alyssa Bales, Kyle Bales, Jace Shackelford, Gavin Davies, Aubree Davies and Arabella Davies.

A private service will be held at a later date.
