Gerald (Jerry) John Kroll, 78, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Mexico Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born in Tebbetts, MO to Lawrence A. and Regina (Groner) Kroll on April 17, 1937. Jerry graduated from Fulton Missouri High School in 1955. He then went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Army for two years, one of which was spent in Thule, Greenland. On April 23, 1960 he married Maurine Mathis at the St. Pius X Catholic Church in Moberly, MO. They settled in Higbee, MO where Jerry farmed for over 47 years.
Those preceding Jerry in death are his parents and one brother, Delmar Kroll.
Survivors include his wife, Maurine of Higbee, MO; his brothers, Virgil Kroll (Dixie) of Mokane, MO and Linus Kroll (Dorothy) of Holts Summit, MO; sisters, Laverne Eveler (Mark) of Jefferson City, MO and Patricia Licher (James) of Montrose, MO; nine nieces, one nephew, and several great-nieces and nephews.
Services celebrating Jerry’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Moberly, MO. Interment with full military honors will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly, MO. Visitation will conclude with a rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association, 2400 Bluff Drive, Columbia, MO 65201.
