Geraldine “Nannie” Anderson, 87, of Moberly, MO went home to the Lord on April 20, 2021.
Geraldine was born on September 17, 1933 to Clarence Stephens and Mildred Spencer Stephens in Linneus, MO.
Geraldine was a graduate of Dalton Missouri High School. After relocating to Moberly, she worked at North Village Park for 18 years as a CNA. Caring for others was something Nannie loved to do and she made an enormous impact on all who were fortunate enough to have worked with her. Geraldine always put everyone else first, determined to do her best for her family and give them the life she felt they deserved. Her family meant more to her than anything else in the world and she loved them all unconditionally. Anyone who knew Nannie, knew that she was an incredibly loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Geraldine married Fredrick Eugene Anderson and they completed their family with a daughter, Debra Anderson.
Church was a very important part of Nannie’s life; she was a member of the Linneus Baptist Church for 45 years before becoming a member at Family Life Fellowship for the following 17 years.
Geraldine was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Mildred Stephens; two grandsons, Tyrone Payne and Tommy Payne; nephew, Charles Greene and niece, Mary Rose Williams.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Anderson of Moberly; grandchildren, Geri A. Payne, Mikey L. Payne, and Sondra K. Payne all of Moberly, MO; great-grandchildren, Deontay Payne, Astasia Payne, Makayla Payne, Jaisten Payne, Jacorey Payne, Jayden Prather, Dekedrian Payne, Journee Payne, Serenity Payne, Ashlyn McAlister, Elijakim Allen, Tomijah Allen, and Ja’kavcion Allen; great-great-grandchildren, Aubrey Hull, Noah Payne, and Ayva Payne; sister, Dorothy Greene of Linneus; niece, Donna Greene of Quincy, IL; extended family and many close friends.
A memorial service celebrating Nannie’s life will be held at Family Life Fellowship, 1614 US-24, Moberly, MO 65270 at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Condolences may be shared online at pathwaymemorial.com.
