Geraldine Ingram, 77, of Moberly, passed away October 15, 2014 at Valley View Nursing Home in Moberly, MO surrounded by her loving family.
Geraldine was born April 9, 1937 in Higbee, MO to George William Smith Sr. and Mary Katherine Pitsford Smith. She attended Higbee Schools. She lived in Marshall after high school and moved to Milan in 1968 where she later met and married William Ingram on Christmas Eve of 1984. Geraldine spent her lifetime caring for her home and family. She was a past member of Milan Christian Church. Pastimes included collecting owls, embroidery work and traveling, as well as working in her vegetable garden. Beginning in 1989 she and William traveled to a deer camp every November.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Susan Ester Coon; grandson Travis Dean Coon, son-in-law Gary Dean Coon, several brothers and sisters, niece Sheila Underwood, and her first husband, Jess Cromley.
She is survived by her husband William Ingram; brothers, George Smith Jr. of Higbee, Frank Smith of Mississippi; sisters, Ruby McSparren (Wayne) of Madison; Patsy Hern (Kenneth) of Moberly, Virginia DeWeese (Murle) of Higbee, Helen Anno (C.J. Garrison), of Moberly; her sons Clint Walker Smith (Lynn) of Savannah, GA; and John Washington Smith of Higbee; grandchildren; RoseMary Coon of Trenton, MO, Kathy Coon of Milan, MO, Jesse Coon (Lisa Campbell) of Hunnewell, MO, Larry Coon (Brenda Jenkins) of Milan, MO, Karen Coon of Trenton, MO, Aaron Coon (Rebecca) of Memphis, MO, Jonathan Coon of LaBelle, MO, Christopher Smith (Jessica) of Atlanta, GA, Amandalynne Cummings (Nick) of Midway, GA; Regan Dean Coon, Jace Allen Wilson, and Pyper Paige Wilson all of Trenton, MO, Collin Jr. Weaver of Milan, MO, Izzy Strain of Shelbyville, MO, Macie DeJong of Green Castle, MO, Jack Smith, and Caden Smith of Atlanta, GA, Evelyn Cummings and Kayla Cummings of Midway, GA.
Services will be Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly, MO with interment in the Higbee City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society, 1900 N.
