Golda Mae Gwinner, 72, of Macon Mo, passed away surrounded by family and friends on May 1st 2019, at Samaritan Hospital in Macon Mo. Golda was born on February 11th 1947, in Neosho, Mo to Walter David and Minnie Loreen (Smith) Brizendine.
Golda worked at Moberly Regional Medical Center for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, holiday decorating, fishing and playing cards. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She married Jerry Gwinner on October 22nd 1966 and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her parents and two brothers, Paul David Brizendine and Charles Franklin Brizendine.
She is survived by three sons, David Gwinner of Macon Missouri, Donnie Gwinner (Belinda) of Macon Mo, Patrick Gwinner (Robin) of Huntsville Mo; four sisters, Margie Enyard (Billy) of Macon, Mo, Bet Davis (Richard) of Tyler Tx, Janet Koester of Trenton, Tn, and Athel Pitman(Tony) of Crowder, Ok; twelve grandchildren, Samantha, Hunter, Monique, Josh, Nathalia, Jassi, Angela, Dakota, Garen, Starlynn, Skyden and Noah; five great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends that she considered family.
Golda also had a foster family, which was a very important part of her life. Proceeding her in death are her foster mother, Corrine Duckworth and foster brothers, Eddie O’Haver, and Junior Lorton (Rosemary, surviving).
A graveside service to celebrate Golda’s life will be Saturday May 11th at 12 noon at Mount Taber Cemetery near Atlanta, Mo.
There will be a gathering to share a meal for family and friends at the Floral Hall at Macon Fairgrounds following the graveside services. Side dishes would be appreciated.
