Greg Walker

Gregory John Walker, 36, of Canton, MO, went home to his Lord on May 24, 2021 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO after sustaining injuries in an auto accident. He was surrounded by his family when he passed. His loss was completely unexpected and his family is shocked and deeply saddened. Greg was born on June 11, 1984 in Quincy, IL to Stephen Walker and Paula Duvall Walker. He attended school at Cedar Falls in Canton, MO. Greg worked as a small engine mechanic for several years. He was a member of the Quincy Union United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers with his step dad and working on cars. On March 8, 2014 in Ewing, MO, he married Laura Johnson, and the two went on to have 3 beautiful daughters together. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of his girls and always tried his best to support them. Anyone who knew Greg, knew that he was a loving and caring father and the best friend anyone could ask for husband. He will be remembered for his generosity, his love of family and friends and his love of Mustangs. His family will miss him more than words can say. Greg is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary and Bernie Walker; maternal grandparents, Otto and Margaret Duvall; his uncles, Tommy Duvall and Dale Eisenberg; his aunt, Anita Duvall; his niece, Sophie and Baby Walker’s 1 and 2. He leaves behind his wife, Laura Walker; his daughters, Lillian, Vivvian and Rebecca; step son, Charles all of Canton, MO; his father, Stephen (Johanna) Walker of Wayland, MO; mother, Paula Walker (Butch Rossiter) of Quincy, IL; sisters, Kelly (Steven Short) Walker and Stacey Rossiter; brothers, Jacob Rossiter, Christopher Walker, Donnie Rossiter, Wyatt Page and Johnathan (Cass) Page; uncles, Larry Duvall and Ben (Rita) Walker; aunts, Connie Eisenberg, Teresa (Steve) Hendrickson, Deborah (Steve) Stark and Martha Whitaker; nephews, Gavin, Ayden, Conan, Toby, Donnie, and Adrian; nieces, Leah and Rose; cousins, Dawn Ditto Hulett, Rob Ditto, Brian Stark, Matt Stark and Tommy Duvall; extended family and many close friends. Services celebrating Greg’s life will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at the Quincy Union UMC, 1101 State Street, Quincy IL 62301. Visitation will be held at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Condolences may be shared online at pathwaymemorial.com.
