Hartley Harold Huntsman, age 74, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away on April 14, 2024, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Hartley was born on August 21, 1949, in Moberly, Missouri, to Glen and Lucille Huntsman. He graduated from Renick High School in 1967. He later accepted a job as a Conductor with Norfolk and Southern Railroad and worked there for over 33 years.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1971 and was awarded the Purple Heart medal twice.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Huntsman.
Hartley is survived by his children, Kevin (Jill) Huntsman, of St. Joseph, MO, and Kyle (Lisa) Huntsman of St. Peters, MO, and Mary (Ross) VanCleve, of Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Alex Huntsman, Anna Huntsman, Hannah Huntsman, Austin VanCleve and Haley VanCleve; great-grandson, Gage Huntsman; siblings, Doris Crutchfield, Kenneth Huntsman, Alice Tallman and Pat Cooley.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO, followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Moberly, MO. Happy Hour immediately following the graveside service at 1912 Chariton Avenue Moberly MO 65270. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO.
