Hazel Levena Dunkin, 84 of Moberly passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Macon Health Care Center. Hazel was born on June 21, 1932 to Jerry Fountain and Nora Catherine (Cole) Dunkin in Monroe County Duncan Bridge, Missouri. She was a retired practical L.P.N. nurse, and worked many years in the Moberly, Missouri area including Whitaker Hospital, Community Memorial Hospital, and North Village Park. Hazel was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Other organizations that she belonged to were Women’s Aglow Fellowship, Gap, Daughters of the America Revolution, the Northside Sunshine Club, and Red Hat Society Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Earl, Merl Leonard, Wilbur, and Darel. Survivors include sister-in-law, Jerry Lea Dunkin of Macon, Missouri; nephews: Carl Dunkin, Raymond Dunkin, Jerry Dunkin, Gary Dunkin, Joe Dunkin, and Troy Dunkin; nieces: Catherine Todd, Ruth Snodgrass, Glenda Gerry, and Jewell Buccari. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Ash Cemetery, east of Cairo. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the First Assembly of God Church.
