Hershel Guy Williams, 96, of Moberly, Missouri passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at his home. Hershel was born August 22, 1921 in Moberly, Missouri to Omer Guy and Eulah (Comstock) Williams. During his career, he worked for the Brown Shoe Factory in Moberly, The Missouri Transit, and owned his own used car lot where he sold cars until his retirement. He and Virginia (Gabriel) Moenck were married on March 24, 1959 in Moberly, Missouri and shared 58 years together. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Moberly were he previously served as a Board Member and Deacon. Hershel enjoyed fishing, playing cards, or telling a joke. He loved Chevy pickups. Hershel was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Gene and Vic Williams; and previous spouse, Marjorie (Roberson) Williams. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Williams of Moberly, Missouri; children: Wayne Williams and wife Vivian of Springfield, Missouri, Larry Williams and wife Connie of Quincy, Illinois, Vickie Moseley of Ferguson, Missouri; Dennis Moenck and wife Nora of Moberly, Missouri, and Karla Skinner and husband Steve of Moberly, Missouri; grandchildren: Hershel Wayne “Gadget” Williams, Obie Williams, Tabitha Williams, Wynn, Timmy Williams, Jeff Williams, Clayton Williams, Larissa Williams Cowen, Sara Pridmore Allen, Michael Pridmore, Chris Moenck, Denise Moenck Lewis, Brandon Moenck, Stevie Guy Skinner, and David Skinner; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly with Janice Austin officiating.
