"Hoss" Kent Lee Andrews

"Hoss" Kent Lee Andrews, 56, of Higbee, Missouri, passed away on February 25, 2018. Hoss was born February 8, 1962 to the late Charles Glenwood and Dorothy (German) Andrews in Fayette, Missouri. He married Michelle Grimsley on October 31, 1987. He worked for Oscheln as a Waste Water Technician for over 35 years and then continued on with new ownership of Central State Enterprises for over a year. Hoss has been a part of the Higbee Area Fire Protection District in different capacities for 30 plus years.He served as a fireman, the Chief, and Assistant Chief before he retired in 2017. Everyone knew his garage was open and there was always something cooking. He loved being in his garage enjoying a cold Busch beer. He liked to fish, mushroom hunt, and anything that was outdoors. His biggest joy was spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include his wife, Michelle Andrews of Higbee, Missouri; son, Ryan (Chelsea) Andrews of Higbee, Missouri; step parents: Margaret and Richard Bushnell of Higbee, Missouri; mother-in-law: Orpha Grimsley and John Lane of Higbee, Missouri; father-in-law, Paul Grimsley of Yates, Missouri; daughter, Lindsey Andrews of Higbee, Missouri; brothers: David Eugene Andrews of Higbee, Missouri, and Richard Dean (Beth) Andrews of Huntsville, Missouri; sisters: Deborah Rayleen (James) Gini of Higbee, Missouri, Dora Gail Redifer of Higbee, Missouri; step-sister, Sandra Jean Riggins of Auxvasse, Missouri; sister-in-law, Lisa (Billy) Price of Higbee, Missouri; grandchildren: Ella Gregory, Corbyn Andrews, and Emrie Andrews; as well as many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cowboy Bible Church, Rt B, Higbee, Missouri. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor John Bill Spilman officiating. Burial will follow at the Higbee City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Higbee Area Fire Protection District, 100 Adams Street, Higbee, Missouri 65257.
