Jackalyn Joyce Koopmann, nee Osborn, born May 13, 1941, in Battlecreek, NE, was called to her heavenly home on February 27, 2018, in Macon, MO. Visitation at Zion Lutheran Church, 32405 Business Highway 36E, from 5-8pm on Friday, March 2. Memorial Service at Zion Lutheran Church at 10am on Saturday, March 3 (Parkway Memorial Funeral Home, Moberly, MO). Private inurnment at Stanton Cemetery, Stanton, NE at a later date. Jackie and Charles were married at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Norfolk, NE, on June 10, 1962. On the road to Macon, they lived in New Port, RI, Coronado, CA, Great Lakes, IL, Lincoln, NE, Cedar Falls, IA, and St. Louis, MO. Surviving are her loving husband of 55 years, Charles H. Koopmann; children Carla J. (Paul) Wappelhorst of St. Charles, MO, Scott C. (Jennifer) Koopmann of Wichita, KS, Kelli E. (Patrick) Madigan of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Carolyn E. Wappelhorst, Madeline J. Wappelhorst, Michael S. Koopmann, Owen P. Madigan, Alexandra E. Koopmann, Aidan H. Madigan and Chance J. Koopmann; siblings Donald C. Osborn of Wheatridge, CO, Wayne (Sally) Osborn of Casper, WY, and Shirley Jean (Dennis) Bohm of Lakeville, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl “Jack” and Opal Joyce Osborn (nee McKnight), a brother, Gary D. Osborn, a sister, Carolyn K. Osborn, and a grandchild, Joseph Paul Wappelhorst. Jackie loved to paint and was an avid genealogist. She was most proud of her memberships in the Daughters of the American Revolution, the National Society of Colonial Dames XVII Century, the Daughters of the American Colonists, the National Society of New England Women, and the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, being a direct descendent of John Alden, Thomas Rogers and William Mullins. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Zion Lutheran Church, 32405 Business Rt 36E, Macon, MO 63552 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 2400 Bluff Creek Dr., Columbia, MO 65201.
