Jacqueline Arnold Pirtle, 68, of Moberly, passed away at Meadow Ridge Estates on May 11, 2017. Jacque was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on July 30, 1948, to Verle Arnold and Alice (Peggy) Maxwell Arnold.
She was united in marriage to Jerry Pirtle in October of 1968 in Bloomfield, Iowa. She and Jerry moved to Moberly in 1972. Jacque was a graduate of Truman State University with a Masters Degree of Accountancy. She worked as a comptroller for Mr. Floyd Riley for many years before her retirement.
Jacque and Jerry loved to travel and spent many months a year in Colorado. They visited over 43 countries, including multiple trips to Germany, where they lived while Jerry was stationed in the Army. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading and quilting.
Jacque was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Jerry, daughters Rhonda Wright and Peggy Taylor both of Colorado; grandchildren Ashley Wright Peterson and husband Andrew; and Megan Wright all of Colorado; brothers John, Gene and Jeff Arnold and their families.
A memorial service celebrating Jacque’s life will be held Monday, July 10, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. A memorial visitation has been scheduled for Sunday, July 9, 2017, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home.
