James D. Mozingo

February 21, 1934 — November 8, 2013

James D. “Zeek” Mozingo, 79 of Madison passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 at his home. He was born to John Mozingo and Esther V. (Rhodes) Doyle on February 21, 1934 in Quincy, IL. He worked for the Mexico Rock Quarry as a driver for many years. He married Hannah Mae Walker on January 24, 1957. James loved his family, and loved helping out family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his dogs: Boots, Angel and Allie. James was preceded in death by his wife, Hannah Mae Mozingo on November, 13, 2008; brothers: Donald, William, and Harold; sisters: Phyllis, Betty, Virginia, and June. He is survived by his sons: Harold Mozingo and wife Betty of Madison, Donnie Mozingo and wife Carolyn of Mexico, and Mark Mozingo and wife Ashley of Moberly; daughters: Sherry Miles of Columbia, Tina Moore of Moberly, Susan Bizzle and Husband Carl of Sullivan, and Vickie Bizzle of Sullivan; sister: Helen Schmitt and husband Don of Quincy, IL; 26 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 5:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m at the funeral home. Pastor Randy Bergthold will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison under the direction of Million Taylor Funeral Homes.
