James Alvin Lee Riley, 85, passed away on March 31, 2021, with his family by his side. James was born August 3, 1935, in Macon, Missouri, to Leroy Clemons and Mammie Vivian (Osborn) Riley. He married Sharon Bell in 1974. . James worked as a builder for Bob's Steel Builders as well as other mechanic and laborer jobs throughout his career. He loved western movies, especially if John Wayne was in it. He enjoyed reading, being outside and working on vehicles. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Owen Lee Durham; brothers: Leon Riley and Henry Riley; nephews: David Riley and Christopher Campbell; brother-in-law, Charles Campbell; and sister-in-law Fay Riley. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Riley of Moberly, Missouri; daughter, Mammie Robertson and husband Erich of Moberly, Missouri; brothers: Carold Riley and wife Neda of Higbee, Missouri, Norman Riley of Columbia, Missouri, and Burnis Riley of Moberly, Missouri; sister, Elsie Campbell of Clark, Missouri; granddaughters: Crystal (Koda) Riley and Samantha (Kris) Ames; great grandchildren: Kayden Riley, Brooklyn Burgess, Bentley Riley, and Leland Kidd; several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley family.
