James Vann Todd, 92, passed at Oak Manor, Tipton, Missouri on January 10, 2023.

He is predeceased by his parents, Mrs. Hazel Cook and Mr. James R. Todd and wife, Pansy M. Todd.  He leaves his 5 children and 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. James (Butch) Todd, spouse Ravae and  granddaughter Danielle, Cynthia (Cindy) Todd Gessling, spouse Stephen and grandson, Todd, Sharon Todd Aragon and granddaughter, Lydia and Brian Robison and great grandsons, Joshua and Brian, Mary Todd Linneman and spouse Roger and son Jonathan (Jon)  Todd.

Mr. Todd was born on December 7, 1930 in Thompson, Missouri.  He lived in Paris, Missouri in his early years and graduated from Paris High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean War stationed in Germany and later married his wife Pansy in 1952.  They lived in Moberly their adult life and were active in the community. Mr. Todd was the owner of a construction company and was a master stone mason.  He has left a legacy of many buildings, structures and monuments in Moberly. He took pride in his work and truly relished the friends he made during his time of business.

Mr. Todd had a passion for giving back to his community and was very active in the Moberly Lion’s Club. He was a Boy Scout Leader, a member of the St. Pius X School board in his earlier years.

He was very active serving several years as President of the Moberly Park Board and was a member of the Friends of the Park.  He enjoyed all park activities and was event organizer for facets of the Moberly Randolph County Fair. He also served several terms as the Superintendent for the Harness Horse Races at the Missouri State Fair. 

A memorial service for Mr. Todd will be held at a later date.
