Jeffery Lynn Walz

Jeffery Lynn Walz, age 64, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024, at Aspire Senior Living in Moberly. 

Jeff was born on December 31, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri to Harold George Walz and Deeanne Jane (Brown) Walz. He graduated from Salisbury High School in 1978. He worked most of his life in janitorial and floor care services in Joplin and Moberly.

Jeff loved fishing and collecting Hot Wheels. He had a vast knowledge of automobiles and was especially fond of Chevrolets. His family and friends will always remember him for his dislike of sweet potatoes at family gatherings.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Walz, and brother John Walz.

Jeff is survived by his sisters, Deborah (Rex) Whitis of Keytesville, MO, Deidere Walz of Moberly, MO, Joann Dungan of Boonville, MO, uncle Dr. David (Terry) Brown, of Lamar, MO, several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.   

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024. A service celebrating Jeff’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel, Moberly, MO, followed by burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Armstrong, MO.

If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Central Missouri Humane Society, Columbia, Missouri.
