Jimmy Dean Haggard, 63, of Huntsville passed away on November 23, 2015 at the University Hospital in Columbia. Jimmy was born to James Monroe and Lucille Haggard on February 12, 1952 in Moberly, Missouri. He married Vicky Stein on May 21, 1982 and celebrated 33 years together. Jimmy retired as a forklift driver from Everlast Fitness Manufacturing in May of 2014 after 20 years of service. In his earlier years he was a chicken fighter, a house builder, and a Rail Road worker. He was known to be the hardest man with the softest heart. He loved his grandchildren and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Vicky of Huntsville; children: Paula K. Haggard of Columbia, Jamie Haggard of Moberly, Luke Haggard and wife Kasey of Huntsville, special children: Damon Smith of Paris, and Angel Smith of Cairo, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; aunt, Betty Webb of Moberly, ; uncle, Donald Spicer of Moberly ; special friends: Verna Smith of Cairo and Linda Freeman of Moberly. Per Jimmy’s wishes, he will be cremated and a private family service will take place at a later date. Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly is in charge of arrangements.
