Joan Asbury

Joan Asbury, 86, passed into Heaven on February 20, 2016 surrounded by all four of her children. She was born, May 7, 1929 in Jacksonville, MO to Botho and Mazie Stuck who preceded her in death. On January 19, 1947 Joan married Don Asbury who preceded her in death in 2003. Joan and Don have 4 surviving children, Terry (Jen) Asbury, of Overland Park, KS, Danny (Rhonda) Asbury, Susan (Mike) McKenzie and Jodi Asbury-Zike all of Moberly, MO; 8 grandchildren, Penny, Chip, Chris, Ami, Tobe, Patrick, Casey and Timmy; 17 great grandchildren that she simply cherished along with several nieces, nephews and many close friends. Also surviving are her two brothers, DeWayne Stuck and Donnie Stuck. Others preceding her in death are her brother, Bobby Stuck and her sister, Connie Matthews Hisle. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, the Moberly Eagles and was a former member of the Moose Lodge and the Moberly Country Club of which many nights she and Don danced the night away. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
