Joyce Rice

Joyce Rice 74, of Overland Park, Kansas, formerly of Moberly, passed away in Kansas City, MO on August 1, 2016. She was born March 11, 1942 in Moberly to Nadine and Tommy Kitchen. She was united in marriage to John Raymond Rice on April 24, 1969 in Oklahoma, and to that union three children were born. Johnna Renee Rice, Jennifer Rhea Rice, and Jeffrey Randall Rice. John preceded her in death on April 3, 2003. Joyce was a mother and homemaker for her family. She is survived by her children, Johnna Renee Rice of Overland Park, KS; Jennifer Rhea Rice (fiancé Dustin Barron) of Olathe, KS; Jeffrey Randall Rice (wife Angela) of Olathe, KS; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her husband John, Joyce was preceded in death by her parents as well as brothers, Basil and Wayne Kitchen, and sister Wilma Jo McLuckie. Graveside service will be Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of service.
