Juanita Mary Roberts

Juanita Mary Roberts, 96, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away on November 22, 2021, at University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. Juanita was born July 18, 1925, in Rural Randolph County, Missouri, to Silvesta and Hanna Jane (Hammonds) Stevenson. She married Howard Roberts and were married for over 50 years before he proceeded her in death in 1997. She worked for many years in factories that included Brown Shoe Factory and Toastmaster. She was previously a member of the Eagles, VFW, and ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She enjoyed Crocheting, playing cards, and weekend time spent with friends at “Cat Fish” city where many camping trips took place. She loved her time with her grandchildren. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Roberts; parents; brothers and sisters; and two son-in-law’s: Gary Reuss and Danny “ Butch” Hopper. Survivors include her daughters: Connie Reuss of Atlanta, Georgia, and Judith Hopper of Moberly, Missouri; grandchildren: Kimberly Conner of Atlanta, Georgia, Lisa (Mark) Trusty of Moberly, Missouri, Christopher (Kristy) Hopper of Moberly, Missouri, and Robyn (Clay) Calicott of Moberly, Missouri; great-grandchildren: Bradley Foster, Savannah Conner, Vincent Trusty, Courtney (Jake) Ridgway, Gabriel Trusty, Brett (Rayanna) Hopper, Brayden Hopper, Jordan Williams, Dakota Williams, Andrew Williams, Thomas Williams and Addison Calicott; great-great grandchildren: Adelyn Williams and Quinlee Hopper; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of life will be held on November 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church, 323 Jefferson Avenue, Moberly, Missouri, at 2:00 p.m. A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
