Judith Ann Foos, age 80, of Moberly, passed away on April 20, 2021 at Boone Hospital surrounded by her family.
Judy was born in Moberly, MO on June 1, 1940 to Roy Thornton Boots and Anna Elizabeth (Massman) Boots. She attended Immaculate Conception School in Moberly and was a 1958 graduate of Moberly High School. Shortly after graduating, she married Ivan Foos, Jr. on September 8, 1958 in Moberly, MO.
Prior to her retirement, she worked many years for Moberly Regional Medical Center in the housekeeping department.
Judy was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She lent her beautiful voice to the choir and enjoyed attending the Women’s Wednesday Luncheon group.
Judy was a fantastic homemaker. She made many hand-sewn and crocheted afghans for her family. She loved feeding and watching the birds in her yard. She also enjoyed flower gardening. Her family and friends will always remember her wonderful laugh, her great cooking and her ease at keeping an immaculate home.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Roy T. Boots.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ivan Foos of Moberly, her children, Terri Lucas of Moberly, David (Valerie) Foos of Moberly, Lisa (Randy) Edwards of Columbia, Brenda (John) Avery of Moberly and her fur baby, Mandie; beloved grandchildren, Michael (Amy) Lucas and Katie (Kevin) Hull all of Moberly; Michelle Foos, Matthew Foos, Christian Foos and Morgan Foos all of Waldorf, MD, Drew Edwards of Columbia, Alex (Rafaella) Edwards of St. Louis, Justine Edwards of Columbia, Jennifer (David) Welder of Raymore, Stephanie (Bobby) Boehme of St. Louis, Allye Williams of Columbia, Graham (McKinzie) Williams of Moberly and Max (Irina) Williams of Columbia; 9 great grandchildren; siblings, William Boots of Vicksburg, MS, Robert (Bonnie) Boots, Dorothy Cox, and Connie Burton all of Moberly; extended family and many good friends, especially, Ginger Jones, Ada Rae Clardy and Linda Searcy.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Judy’s life will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judy’s honor are suggested to the Moberly Animal Shelter, 153 W. Outer Rd., Moberly, MO 65270.
