Julia Faye Clubine

d. August 11, 2018

Julia “Judy” Faye (Bradley-Sharp) Clubine, age 76, of Moberly Missouri left her earthly body peacefully on Saturday, August 11th, 2018. Julia was at home with family after a brief hospital stay. She had been visited by family and friends during her final days with us. Judy was born on August 31st, 1941, in Clark Missouri to James Paxton Grimes Bradley and Ila Mae (Gardner) Bradley. She graduated from Renick R-V High School in 1959. Julia married Jimmie Wayne Sharp on September 27th, 1959 in Molino Missouri and Jimmie preceded her in death in April of 1999. On February 28th, 2001, Julia married Warren Clubine in Monroe City Missouri, and Warren was taken from her in the March 2006 tornado that swept through Randolph County. Julia joined the New Hope United Methodist Church (Renick) in 1959, and this is the church where she and Jimmie raised their family. Julia was a homemaker for part of her married life. In 1978 she went to work at Woodland Hospital, and transferred to the new MRMC facility when it was built. She retired from the Dietary Department in 1991. Julia was active in many New Hope United Methodist church activities, including the United Methodist Women’s organization and Youth Activities. She helped with the church Chili Supper & Bazaar and American Red Cross Blood drives. Julia loved to read, watch Hallmark movies and Larry’s Country Diner on RFD-TV. She kept a journal of her daily life for over fifty years. Many an argument has been settled by getting out “mom’s diary”! Judy kept a multitude of hummers fed each summer, and enjoyed watching them from her living room window. In recent years, she had two tablets so she was always charged and ready for spinning a virtual slot machine. She won millions of fake dollars, and had hours of fun. Julia was also preceded in death by her parents, brother James P. Bradley, and sister Edith J. Dollens. Her remaining brother Bobby D. Bradley and his wife Norma, of Sturgeon spent several hours at her side last week reminiscing. Julia’s family includes four children and their spouses: Larry and Stacie Sharp, Deborah (Debbie) Sharp, Mike and Paula Heath, all of Moberly and Nevin and Cathy Turner of Higbee. Julia loved fourteen grandchildren and their spouses: Brett Sharp, Brad and Mattie Sharp, Brian and Claudia Sharp, Lacie Ann Sharp, Cassy and Jason Million, Ariel Northcutt, Jamie Northcutt and Alex King, Steven Heath, Samantha and Andy Rowland, Chase Heath and Lisa Kubik, Ian Turner, Michael Turner, Cassie and Daniel Porrevecchio, and Skylor Turner. Judy spoiled fifteen great-grandchildren: Travis Phelan, Ava and Nora Sharp, Elena Sharp, Ethan, Mason and Henry Million, KaVaughn King, Heath and Milton Rowland, Joseph, Evalyn, Jackson and Vivian Porrevecchio, and Aidan Gerloff. Julia had many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her greatly. A celebration of Julia’s life will be on Thursday, August 16th at 10:00 am at New Hope United Methodist Church east of Renick. Interment will be immediately following the service in Oakland Cemetery, Moberly Missouri. Visitation will be at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 15th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Julia loved purple, and if you so choose, wear something purple in celebration of a life well lived. Julia requested memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 2409 Hyde Park Rd., Jefferson City, MO 65109 or New Hope United Methodist Scholarship fund, 1046 Highway P, Clark, MO 65243. The family would like to express gratitude to Comprehensive Care Services and Solutions staff for their years of assisting her at home, along with the compassionate staff at MRMC and Home Care of Mid-Missouri Hospice who cared for her last week.
