Karen Jane Imbler

Karen Jane Imbler, 66, formerly of Moberly, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Alexius Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Karen was born January 5, 1952 to the late Edwin Eugene Imbler, Sr. and Betty Lou (Baker) Imbler in Moberly Missouri. She was a graduate of Moberly High School and attended Moberly Area Community College. Karen never met a stranger and made friends wherever she went. She shared her self-taught musical abilities with family, friends and her church. Her siblings have wonderful memories of being entertained with songs of the day. While a member of St. Pius X Church, she played guitar for masses and sang in the choir. Her artistic talent, for which she received many awards, lives on through her son, Derek. She will be remembered as one who believed in herself and loved her family. Many memories will be treasured by those who loved her and survive her. Survivors include her son, Derek (Mae) Goon and granddaughter Estella of Wichita, KS; step-mother, Martha Imbler of Moberly; four siblings: Brenda (Phil) Hess, Lynn (Jill) Imbler and Terri (Rick) Richardson all of Moberly and Cheryl (Patt) Stansberry of Columbia as well as nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, “Buddy” Imbler and Rodney Imbler; and nephew, Darrin Imbler. Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly.
