Kathryn Rena Herrin of Columbia entered into peaceful rest on September 25, 2014 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Kathryn was born July 26, 1932 to Michael Dollich and Lena Bonuchi Dollich on what was then known as the Bonuchi farm atop Sunshine Hill, East of Higbee, Missouri. She graduated from Higbee High School in 1950 and moved to St. Louis. In 1953 she was married to Raymond Lang who preceded her in death in 1958 and to this union two sons were born who preceded her in death. In 1965 she married William Herrin. She worked for Southwestern Bell/GTE/Verizon for 35 years and loved her work. Kathryn was an excellent cook thanks to her Italian mother, she loved all kinds of needlework, was an avid Missouri Tigers fan and watched or listened to many games. Survivors include four grandchildren; Michael, Tommy, Lena and Kathryn all from out of state, several great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur and Martha Ann Zambile; nephews Roger and Zachary Zambile, Robbie and Pam Dollich, Kelly Dollich, niece Teresa and Cecil McAdams; two step-children: Carol and Frank Green and William Herrin; five step-grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren. Kathryn had many dear and special friends, especially the ladies she worked with at the phone company and where she lived at Bethel Ridge. We thank them for the friendship and care they have shown to her over the years. Kathryn was preceded in death by her father and mother, stepfather, John Zambile; her two husbands; brother and sister-in-law, Silvie and Juanita Dollich; and her two sons, Michael and George. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 11:00 a.m until service time at 1:00 p.m at Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly with Father Phil Niekamp officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly.
