Kathryn D. Maxey

Kathryn Maxey passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at 8:50 a.m., at North Village Park Care Center. She was 98. Kathryn is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Ron) McCoy, Madison, MO; a son, Bruce (Rhonda) Maxey, Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren, Toni (Randy) Monsen, Mexico, MO, Cindi (Matt) Kelly, Columbia, MO, Micki (Chris) Thompson, Salida, CO, Blake (Kristen) Maxey, Columbia, MO; great-grandchildren, Nikki (Scott) Vomund, Martinsburg, MO, Brandon Johnston (fiance Alex), Columbia, MO; River and Holde Thompson, Salida, CO, Anna Katherine and Grace Maxey, Columbia, MO; and great-great-grandchildren, Clayton Welch and Brayden Allen, Martinsburg, MO. She is also survived by a step-daughter, Jean (Bill) Schaffer, Center, MO; and many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Dee" Maxey on November 19, 1971, and by all five of her siblings. Visitation for friends and family will be Friday, March 11, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until noon at Million-Taylor Funeral Home in Moberly.  Graveside services will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Madison.
