Kenneth Gibbons

Kenneth Ray Gibbons, Jr. went to be with the Lord in the early morning of January 11, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Kenny was born May 23, 1961 to Kenneth and Doris (Hinten) Gibbons in Mexico, MO. He grew up in Mexico and was a champion dirt bike rider in his youth. He worked for the family businesses most of his life, most recently working for Plan B Development of Mexico, MO as a heavy equipment operator. Kenny married Lynn Wright of Laddonia on February 14, 1984. He is survived by his wife Lynn; sons Kendall Ray (Tiffany) Gibbons of Oldsmar, FL, Garrett Ryan Gibbons of Thompson, MO and grandson Wyatt Jackson Gibbons. He is also survived by his mother, Doris (Hinton) Cook and stepfather Robert Cook of Mexico; two sisters and two brothers, Donna (Mark) Robison, Tracy Gibbons all of Mexico, Sanji (Rusty) Huntsman of Overland Park, Kansas, Kyle (Emily) Gibbons of St. Louis, father-in-law Dennis Wright of Laddonia, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ray Gibbons Sr. and mother-in-law Sandra (Ellis) Wright. Kenny was a kind soul. He loved nature and working with his hands. He went on many cross country motorcycle rides with his father. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
