Kenneth L. Hendren

Kenneth L. Hendren, 93, of Madison passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Moberly Nursing & Rehab. Kenneth was born to John and Myrtle (Darst) Hendren on July 12, 1922 in Madison, Missouri. He married Alva Lee Wilson March 25, 1952 and were married 55 years before she preceded him in death. Kenneth was a hard worker. He spent his life raising cattle, working on the farm and plumbing. He co-owned Hendren Heating & Plumbing in Madison with his cousin Donald Hendren for many years. He loved playing horseshoes, hunting and fishing. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Virgil, Herman, Lester, Knoble, and Johnnie; sisters: Mildred, Dorothy, and Hazel. Survivors include sons: William Hendren, Donald (Janet) Hendren, and John (Bonny) Hendren all of Madison, Missouri; grandchildren: Lisa Herron of Huntsville, Missouri, Timothy Hendren of Boonville, Missouri, Casey Hendren of Moberly, Missouri, Hannah Hendren of Madison, Missouri, Charlie Black of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Sandy Shoemate of Madison, Missouri, Christina Hull of Moberly, Missouri, Courtney Hendren of Madison, Missouri, and Lindsey Hendren of Madison, Missouri; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Million Taylor Funeral Homes. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison.
