Kenneth Ray Norton, 86, of Madison, Missouri, passed away surrounded by family on September 6, 2023, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Kenny was born on September 21, 1936, in Barboursville, Kentucky to Benjamin and Anna (Stewart) Norton. He married Margaret “Peggy” Rossner on March 2, 1957, in Union City, Indiana.
Kenny was a social man who loved music, singing, carpentry and gambling. He also really enjoyed singing at bluegrass festivals and jam sessions. His family and friends will always remember him as flirting with the girls at the bluegrass festivals. He always joked saying he “would be shot by a jealous husband one day”.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Norton; parents, Benjamin and Anna Norton; brothers, Billie and Donnie.
Kenny is survived by his children, Ann (Tom) Gay, Kenny (Sharon) Norton II, Helen (Dan) Warren, Raymond (Charla) Norton, Margie Norton and Robert (Trish) Norton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five siblings; several nieces; nephews; cousins; extended family and close friends.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
