Larry Wayne Hoffman

Larry Wayne Hoffman, 83, of Moberly, Missouri, peacefully passed away on May 31, 2024, at Mark Twain Assisted Living.

Larry was born on August 9, 1940, in Monroe County, Missouri, to J.W. and Bessie (Karns) Hoffman. He graduated from Madison C-3 in 1957. He married Shirley Bryant in 1960, in Moberly, Missouri.

He was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Larry Enjoyed fishing and tractor pulling. His family and friends will always remember him for his orneriness and always cutting up any chance he got.

Larry worked for Heinz Packaging Warehouse in his earlier years. Later he took a yardman position with Norfolk and Western before working his way up to a welder. After 21 years with Norfolk and Western, he took a job with Orscheln Farm and Homes until his retirement. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Bessie Hoffman as well as Hue and Tessi Karns; sister, Sue Beatty and brother, Jim Hoffman.

Larry is survived by his wife, Shirley Hoffman of Moberly, MO; two sons, Jeff Hoffman of Moberly, MO and Steve (Sandy) Hoffman of Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Cyndi (Jason) Farris, Jeana Larson, Jill Hoffman and Cameron (Alley) Baker; great-grandchildren, Brayton, Destyni, Jaycee, Lilly, Beau, Cooper, Jaxon, Jasmine, Jasper and Maverick; two brothers, Kenny Hoffman and Bill (Lori) Hoffman; extended family and friends.
