Larry Lee Watson, 72, of Moberly, passed away June 21, 2015 at his home. Larry was born June 22, 1942 in Hannibal, MO to Claude Watson and Margaret Beckley Watson. On March 10, 1972, he married Lila Stanfield who survives at home.
Larry and Lila moved to Moberly in 1986 and opened Midwest Auto and Truck Service. He and Lila worked at their business for fifteen years before retiring. He was an avid golfer and liked to rebuild classic cars. He enjoyed traveling with his grandchildren and other family members and taking golf trips with his friends.
Those preceding him in death are his mother and father, and a son, Scott Watson.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Jerry Watson and wife Christine of Evergreen, Colorado; daughters Marsha Mackey of Columbia and Kelly Oliver and husband John of Moberly; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 until time of service at the funeral home. A private inurnment will take place at a later date at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Marceline. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Hospice Compassus, 707 East Briggs Drive, Macon, MO 63552. Pathway Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
