Laurana N. Schamma, 81 of Moberly, Mo passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Boone Hospital of Columbia. Laurana was born to the late Olion and Nannie Williams Holman on August 9, 1931 in Moberly, MO. She married Roy Clarence Schamma on November 29th 1952 and was married for 50 years. During her professional career, she worked as a secretary for Fisher & Fritchel, an executive secretary for Lake St. Louis, a stenographer for NW Railroad and a secretary for J.K Clevenger. She was a member of Family Life Fellowship in Moberly, and a member of the Armstrong chapter of DAR where she was a past Regent. She and her husband helped form the Little Dixie Square Dance club in Moberly. She was an avid Cardinal fan and enjoyed playing the piano. She loved genealogy and was the family genealogist for 40 years. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy; and a brother, Forrest Holman. Laurana is survived by her daughters: Laura Riles of Moberly, MO; and Kay Schamma and Dave Arnold of Moberly, Mo; brother, Wayne Lee Holman of O’Fallon, MO; grandchildren: Kriss Riles (Blake Potter), Ben Riles (Becky), Sean Clickner, Andrea Clickner, Stephanie Schamma, Jeff Clickner (Chelsea), Natalie Cook (Dustin), Brandon Arnold (Lisa), Justin Arnold (Corissa), and Eric Arnold (Sierra); great grandchildren: Kayla Riles, Preston Riles, Gregory Riles, Chloe Riles, Gregg Bain, Ashley Bain, Tyler Barron, Haley Barron, Kaven Cropp, Kendrick Cropp, Gabe Christmann, Kael Clickner, Alek Clickner, Caidence Arnold, Chase Cook, Reese Ann Cook, and Hunter Cook. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 4:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Services will take place on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m at the Funeral Home. Pastor Vic Comstock will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Moberly, Mo.
