Lila Anderson Willits passed away October 26, 2017 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. Lila was born March 20, 1939 in Aledo, IL to Lyle Anderson and Marie Pauline Smith Anderson. She graduated from Joy Illinois High School with the class of 1957. On November 23, 1963 in Keithsburg, IL she was united in marriage to Jack Willits who preceded her in death. Lila was a huge fan of the NBA and her favorite team was the Golden State Warriors. Her grandchildren spent many nights playing cards with grandma for quarters. They said she would sometimes play with them into the wee hours of the morning. Lila had lived in the Moberly area for over 40 years and worked at many different jobs, but her primary responsibility was always caring for her family. She loved to dance and she loved flowers, especially roses. She was a member of Family Life Fellowship. Those preceding her in death are her parents and her husband Jack. She is survived by her children, Kimberly “Kim” Willits of Moberly, Lisa (John) Bowen of Armstrong, Tony Willits of Columbia; grandchildren, Trevor (Brynn) Hayes of Huntsville, Ashley (Brandon Knisley) Nichols of Kansas City, Amber Bowen (Kevin Ridgeway) of Moberly, Brooke Willits of Columbia, Sarah Nichols of Moberly, Taylor Nichols of Moberly and Paige Willits of Columbia; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Kylee, Karissa, Macey, Tristan, Kaylie, Chance and Caden, identical twin sister Leila (Clyde) Wagner of New Boston, IL, brother William Anderson of Aledo, Illinois, extended family and friends. Services for Lila will be Monday, October 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly with interment in the Huntsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening, October 29, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society, 2409 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
