Linda Haak

Linda Louise (Carter) Haak, passed away on May 6, 2018 in Tucson, AZ after a lengthy illness. She was born on May 23, 1950 to John Mairens Carter and Thelma Louise (Shevlin) Carter in Moberly, MO. She married Kenneth Earl Haak on June 7, 1969 after graduating from Mount Alverno Academy in Maryville, MO. She worked at Everlast Sporting goods as vice-president until retiring after 32 years. She then worked at Mac Hils Inc. and at Pepco in Moberly. She loved to travel, play golf and play bridge. She is survived by her husband Kenneth, one sister, Carla Dawson of St. Louis and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Central Missouri Humane Society, 616 Big Bear Blvd., Columbia, MO 65202 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, c/o Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 would be appreciated. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held May 29, 2018 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. with a sharing of stories and memories from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly, MO.
