Lucille Grinnip

Lucille (Summers) Vance Grinnip, 102, of Moberly, Missouri passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Moberly Nursing and Rehab Center. Lucille was born on December 19, 1912, in Clarence, Missouri to Arthur and Bessie (Conley) Summers. On August 20, 1948, she married Joe Vance from Renick, Missouri. Lucille and Joe worked for the Brown Shoe Company in Moberly, and then transferred to Selma, Tennessee. Later in life, Lucille and Joe moved to Versailles, Missouri where they both retired. Following Joe’s death, Lucille moved back to Moberly where she later married Bill Grinnip. Preceding her death were her parents, both spouses; Joe Vance and Bill Grinnip; five brothers: Richard Summers, Marion Summers, Ted Summers ,Joe Summers, and Waldo Summers, two half-sisters: Pearl Sevier and Ruth Miles; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, and cousins of the surrounding area. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly with Rev. Jay Self officiating.
