Margaret Gairrett 85 of Moberly passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Boone Hospital in Columbia. Margaret was born to the late John Louis Myers and Lillian Brown Myers on June 30, 1927 in Randolph County, Missouri. Margaret was a member of the Carpenter Street Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and worked with the special needs class. She also served as the church clerk for many years. She was very mission minded and spent her life as a devoted Christian, serving the Lord faithfully. She was a Bank Officer for Commerce Bank and retired after 20 years of service. She was also a beauty consultant with Mary Kay, worked at JCPenney’s and worked as a bookkeeper for Robertson Stavemill. She was very involved in the Business and Professional Women’s Foundation where she held State Leadership positions. Margaret also served on the Little Dixie Library Board. She was preceded in death by her husband John H. Gairrett. Margaret is survived by her son, Geoffrey Gairrett and wife Richelle of Zebulon, NC; sister, Virginia Boland of Moberly, MO; brother, Harold Myers and wife Bess of Farmington, MO; grandchildren: MaKayla, MaKenzie, and MacLayne; great grandchild, Adrianna; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 4:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m at the Million Taylor Funeral Home of Moberly. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m with Reverend Richard Clouse officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
