Margaret C. Jones

Margaret C. Jones 97 of Higbee passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011, at the Moberly Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Margaret was the youngest child of Isaac and Margaret Jones, born on July 26, 1914. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Lillian Jones Daggs, Dan Jones, Walter Jones and Helen Jones. Margaret was a lifelong Higbee resident who loved the town and its people. She knew everyone and was a virtual historian for most of the townspeople. her memory was impeccable and her love of people was evident in every account she told. Margaret worked for the Higbee School System as a study hall keeper for several years; later she worked at the Brown Shoe Company. Margaret was a member of the Higbee Christian Church where she taught Sunday School for many, many years. She lived her faith by helping others. She never had a harsh word for anyone or about anyone.
