Margaret “Peg” Ann Norton, 82, formerly of Moberly, passed away April 24, 2019 in Yuma, Arizona. Margaret was born February 22, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Michael John Rossner and Margaret Thompson Rossner. She was united in marriage to Kenny Norton March 2, 1957.
Margaret grew up in Union City, IN and moved to Moberly in 1974. She owned and operated Norton’s Bookkeeping and Tax Service in Moberly until 1995 when the infamous tornado took the business and she decided to retire. She and Kenny then became snowbirds for a few years, subsequently making the move to Yuma, AZ.
She loved Bluegrass music and camping and fishing with her family. She and Kenny also enjoyed trying their luck at the various casinos around the area.
Those preceding Margaret in death are her parents; her siblings; Michaelene Rossner, David Rossner and Judy Rossner.
She is survived by her children Anna (Tom) Gay, Moberly, Kenny (Sharon) Norton, Danielson, CT, Helen (Danny) Warren, Cairo, Raymond (Charla) Norton, Moberly, Margie Norton, Pendleton, IN, Robert (Trisha) Norton, St. Louis, MO nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
A celebration of life dinner will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at the Lions Club of Cairo, 302 Third St., Cairo, MO.
