Margie June Kitchen, 72, of Callao, Missouri, previously of Centralia, Missouri, passed away surrounded by family on January 17, 2022 at Samaritan Hospital.
Margie was born on February 7, 1949 in Madison, Missouri to Fred Jackson and Clara Mae (Smith) Gibler. She graduated from Madison High School and worked a long career at Hubbell Power Systems until her retirement. After retirement she moved to Thomas Hill Lake.
She was an active member at the Kaseyville Baptist Church. She enjoyed bird watching, planting and caring for her flower gardens. Most of all, Margie enjoyed cruising the lake and hosting neighborhood parties with her family and friends.
Margie’s family and friends will always remember her for her kind heart and caring manner.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Frank Gibler of Madison, MO and Roy Gibler of Paris, MO; three sisters, Vera Barnes of Paris, MO, Wilma Vincent of Holliday, MO and Ruby Miller of Paris, MO; brother-in-law, Jim Hancock of Madison, MO.
Margie is survived by her brothers, Earl and wife Marilynn Gibler of Madison, MO, David and wife Linda Gibler of Madison, MO, Nelson and wife Michelle Gibler of Centralia, MO; twin sister, Marian Hancock of Madison, MO; sister, Doris and husband Russell Taylor of Centralia, MO, Carla and husband Mike Green of Callao, MO; brother-in-law, Alvin Miller of Paris, MO; two sister-in-laws, Mary Ann Gibler and Helen Gibler both of Madison, MO; numerous nieces and nephews; many extended family members and many good friends who loved her dearly.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations are made to donor’s choice of charity in honor of Margie. Condolences to the family may be shared at pathwaymemorial.com.
