Margie Marie Harley Hicks, 88, of Moberly, passed away at University Hospital in Columbia on December 27, 2017. Margie was born in Madison, MO on June 30, 1929 to Hersell Harley and Anna Marie Mallory Harley. She lived in Monroe County and graduated from Madison High School before relocating to Moberly in 1948. Margie was married to Charles Hicks, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1975.
Margie was a certified dietician and retired as head dietician at North Village Park. She loved to read Harlequin Romance novels, and loved being on the water. She spent every weekend in the summertime boating at Thomas Hill Lake. Margie enjoyed listening to country music and loved to work in her flower garden. Following the death of her husband, Charles, Margie had a long time special companion, Jerry McCallum. She attended West Park United Church.
Those preceding Margie in death are her parents; husband Charles; and special friend Jerry McCallum.
She is survived by her son Rocky Hicks of Moberly; sister Konnie Brooks of Clark, MO, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services for Margie will be Saturday, December 30, 2017 at noon with private interment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Moberly. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
