Marie V. Skinner

Marie V. Skinner,85, of Moberly passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 at her home. Marie was born to Harry and Lorraine (Wrighthouse) Crockett on April 12, 1928 in Vincennes, Indiana. She married Otho L. Skinner on May 16, 1944 and were married for 50 years. Marie worked for Toastmaster in Moberly as an assembler for 7 years. She was a member of the Union Ave/Timberlake Christian Church. Marie enjoyed crafting, reading romance and western novels, and shopping. She liked watching romantic mystery shows and her favorite show to watch was NCIS. She was a kind woman and loved taking care of her adopted neighborhood cat. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otho L. Skinner; daughter, Carolyn; grandmother, Marie Wrighthouse; sister-in-law Thelma Jo Skinner; mother, Lorraine Crockett; great-grandchild: Selena Marie Springer; and son-in-law, David Hicks. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 12:00 p.m until 2:00 p.m at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 immediately following the visitation with Pastor Doug Delp officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery under the direction of Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly.
