Marilynne Eckelmann, 95, of Moberly, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Ravenwood Terrace in Moberly. Marilynne was born December 22, 1922 in Mountain View, MO to Clifford McClintock and LaVera Adair McClintock. She spent many years in Springfield, MO before relocating to Moberly in the late 90’s. Marilynne was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Marilynne worked as a field auditor for the State of Missouri. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. She was also a wonderful cook and a party bridge player. More than anything else, Marilynne loved spending time with her family. She was an adored wife, mother and grandmother. Marilynne had a sweet smile and kind heart. She will be missed by many.
Marilynne was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Louis Charles Eckelmann Jr.; brothers, H. C. McClintock and Marlin McClintock; sister, Jean Bonner and daughter-in-law, Denise Hopper – Eckelmann.
Survivors include her children, Louis “Chuck” Charles (Carrie) Eckelmann III of Moberly, David Eckelmann of Moberly, Dixie (Frank) Thomas of Huntsville and Gary (Jan) Eckelmann of Mountain Home, AR; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Memorial services celebrating Marilynne’s life will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Moberly. Inurnment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Memorials in Marilynne’s honor are suggested to Hospice Compassus, 1701 A Prospect Drive, Macon, MO 63552.
